The BRIT Awards 2012 with MasterCard - Tesco Bank Promotion

  1. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, holding an active Tesco Bank MasterCard, excluding employees and their families of Tesco Bank, MasterCard, their agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
  2. The prize draw will run from 1/01/2012 - 31/01/2012 inclusive ("Promotional Period").
  3. To enter the prize draw cardholders will be required to make any purchase on their Tesco MasterCard and then text the word BRITS to 63006 (during the Promotional Period). Standard network rates apply to text entries. Please note that texts may not be included in all 'text-inclusive' packages. Alternatively, cardholders can make any purchase with their Tesco MasterCard and register their details online at www.mastercard.co.uk/tescobrits (during the Promotional Period) to be entered in the prize draw. No purchase necessary: For alternative entry without purchase send a stamped envelope to 'The BRIT Awards 2012 with MasterCard - Tesco Bank Promotion, PO Box 31586, London, W11 4YB' to be received by midnight 31/01/2012 (UK time) - For Customers in Northern Ireland only: send your name, telephone number and e-mail in a stamped envelope. For rest of UK: send your name, telephone number, e-mail & the first six numbers of your Tesco Bank MasterCard Credit Card number in a stamped envelope. Only one entry per stamped envelope.
  4. If cardholders have a winning entry they may be required to provide the receipt showing their Tesco MasterCard was used as payment and dated between 1st - 31st January inclusive. This is for cardholders who enter via the purchase route only.
  5. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for any entries lost or delayed for any reason whatsoever.
  6. All text, online and no purchase necessary entries must be received by midnight on 31/01/2012 (UK time).
  7. The first five winners drawn at random will receive a prize package comprising 2 x Silver tickets to The BRIT Awards 2012 with MasterCard (Level 1 show-only seating) on 21/02/2012, 2 x tickets to the MasterCard aftershow party at a venue in The O2, London, 1 night 4* hotel accommodation in central London chosen by MasterCard (double occupancy) on 21/02/2012 and breakfast on the 22/02/2012, return group transfers by boat to The BRIT Awards 2012 with MasterCard from the London hotel, and return economy travel to London from any other UK location.
  8. Cardholders can enter the Promotion a maximum of three times per day via text and e-mail. Each entry will require a different card spend. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of 'script', 'brute force' or any other automated means, that person's entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  9. The draw will take place under independent supervision on 03/02/2012 and the winners will be notified by phone or email within 5 business days of the end of the Promotional Period.
  10. No person may win more than one prize. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. Prize winners will have 5 business days from despatch of winning phone call or winning email notification to acknowledge and confirm acceptance of the prize in a return e-mail or telephone contact, details of which will be provided in winning notification. Failure to do this will result in the prize being re-drawn if no winners have acknowledged the prize by 14/02/2012.
  1. Prizes will be organised and booked within 3 working days of winner confirming acceptance of prize. The prizes are as stated and there are no cash substitutes or alternative prizes in whole or in part except that in the circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes with one of equal or greater value. The prize cannot be sold or transferred in any manner. Prizes will only be awarded directly to winners.
  2. Prize winners must be available between 21/02/2012 and 22/02/2012 to take their prize.
  3. Prize winners must be aware that flash photography will be used throughout the evening. The Promoter will not be held responsible for the prize winner and/or companion not taking advantage of the prize due to health or any other reason.
  4. The prize winners must be 18 years or older and their companion must be aged 16 years or over, and may be required to participate in related publicity with no further recompense.
  5. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a serious breach of these terms and conditions by an entrant, The Promoter may, at its sole discretion invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from the Promotion, irrespective of the stage in the Promotion reached.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify any entry at their discretion.
  7. The Promoter reserves the rights to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the prize draw at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control.
  8. By entering the prize draw, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted the terms and conditions.
  9. If you live in Scotland, any dispute concerning these terms and conditions will be settled on the basis of Scottish law and the courts of Scotland will have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, English law will apply and disputes will be settled in the Courts of England or Wales.
  10. Prize Winners' names and counties will be available from to 21/02/2012 - 15/05/2012 by sending a stamped SAE to The BRIT Awards 2012 with MasterCard - Tesco Bank Promotion 'Winners', PO Box 31586, London W11 4YB.
  11. Entrants' personal data shall be processed for the purpose of their participation in the Promotion only and will only be retained as long as necessary for such purpose (i.e. until 3 months after the end of the Promotion). Entrants can request access to and/or rectification of their personal data if incorrect. For these purposes entrants can contact the Promoter at the below address or by visiting the following website page www.mastercard.com/privacy. By participating in the Promotion, entrants consent that their personal data may, for the same purpose as stated above, also be transferred to Promoter’s third party contractors necessary to process entrants' participation in the Promotion.
  12. The winner and his/her guests must abide by the terms and conditions of the tickets which form part of their prize, which can be viewed at www.brits.co.uk/terms-conditions. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions may result in refused entry, or the ticket holders being required to leave the Event.
